Winner's Post: April - Non-Traditional Colours

Hello, and welcome back to Christmas Crafts Creations, where it is time to announce the winners of the April challenge!

Before we get started, we have some important news.

A little over three years ago, I founded Christmas Craft Creations, having somewhat fallen into the role. I hadn't ever really intended to create and run a challenge, but it was, as they say, a happy little accident.

Over the years, I've been lucky enough to work with so many fantastic designers in our teams, plus met others through the guest designing roles and, of course, seen all the great designs from all of you who have played along. It has been absolutely wonderful seeing everyone's designs each month. I hope you've all had as much fun playing with us as we've had seeing what you do.

Running a challenge like this is a lot of work. From wrangling a team of designers — of which we have just over twenty when 'full' — to coordinating with guests, commenting on entries, creating graphics and blog posts, ensuring the link-up runs smoothly, and acquiring and sending prizes — and that's just to name a few! From the outside looking in at a challenge, it should magically appear like everything just happens, but behind the scenes, it takes a lot of doing.

With all that said, I have made the difficult decision to put Christmas Craft Creations on a break. Whilst I hope this is only temporary, there is currently no date set for when the challenge will start back up.

We're very grateful for your continued support and participation over the years, and hope that whenever we return in the future you will be happy to join in with us again. In the meantime, there are lots of fabulous challenges out there — both Christmas-related and otherwise — for you to play along with. Maybe this will give you a chance to find a new one!

With that said, let's announce the winners of our last challenge.

The theme was Non-Traditional Colours, and we had lots of fabulous entries from you all. Visit the launch and reminder posts to see what inspiration the teams had given, as well as to take a look at all the entries.

First up, the information on the randomly picked prize winners:

Prize 1
Gemini by Crafters Companion - Opulent Swirls Die, donated by Angela

Prize 2
Winterworks Christmas Ribbon Trio - Silver, donated by Charlotte

Congratulations, both of you! Please email me via the email address in the sidebar with your address to claim your prize. The prize must be claimed by Sunday 26th May.

And without further ado, onto the DT's favourites. This month's DT Favourite Winner is:

#76. Izzy Scrap

Congratulations, Izzy! Below is the winner's badge which you are welcome to display on your blog.

We also have three Honourable Mentions. In order of entry they are:

Congratulations to all three of you! The Honourable Mention badge is below for you to display on your blogs.

Congratulations once again to our winners!

Thank you to all of you who have made the challenge a success over the years. You are amazing, and it has been a pleasure. Likewise, a huge thanks to everyone who is or has ever been on the teams. You are all incredibly talented, and without you, this challenge would have never got as far as it did.

Until next time, whenever that may be,

Love,
Charlotte/Lady Joyful

  5. I can only imagine the behind the scenes work that goes on to run a challenge the caliber of this one! Your description of all that is involved makes me tired just reading it!! So although you will be missed, I am glad that you and your team are doing some well deserved self-care. If, or hopefully when, you return, we'll be here waiting! Take care and warm wishes from Kathy at myasperations
